London Midland and Scottish Railway
When the LMS was formed in 1923 it was the largest joint stock company in the world but it wasn’t above adopting one of its constituents’ coach liveries.
However I believe that LMS crimson lake was a slightly darker shade than Midland red.
Nothing beats the full period I livery and I just hope that I have done some justice to what I believe to be coachbuilding craftsmanship at its finest at Wolverton in the 1920’s
